Along with the tremendous amount of success BC had as a team, numerous members of the squad received individual recognition. Two of the highlights include the entire starting lineup being named to either 1st of 2nd team All-Conference and Sean Fisher making 2nd Team CWPA All-America. On top of the recognition received from the CWPA and other coaches, the team voted on their own annual awards. These awards include MVP, Rookie of the Year, Most Improved, Clifford/Gannon Inspirational Player Award and the Ernst Character Award.
Below is a list of all of the 2016 award winners. For more information on past award winners click here.
The Eagles were able to build on their 2015 success, claiming the New England Division Championship and finsishing 9th place at Nationals! The team's path started all the way back in August, the week before classes started, with two aday practices supplemented by intense drylands led by Clifford/Gannon Inspirational Player award winner Brendan Koch. As the season progressed, BC went on to go 4-0 in the BU tournament and 3-1 in the Yale tournament. The only regular season loss came at the hands of Dartmouth College, who the boys ended up beating in the conference championship.
To complete the season, Boston College went 3-1 at the CWPA Club National Championships. In their first game, they were met by emerging varsity program McKendree University. McKendree proved to be the teams toughest competition of the weekend as BC fell 12-10 in overtime. Although playing well at times, BC was inconsistent in their execution against a well conditioned McKendree team and failed to get the win. This loss was followed by three dominating wins against Duke, Notre Dame and Grand Valley State. Each travelling player was able to contribute quality playing time.
We would like to express a big thanks to all the family, friends and alumni that donated in order to fund the team's trip to Nationals and Notre Dame.

Together, they scored 31 goals and made 13 assists in the Eagles' 11 games. Sophomore Trevor Prince was also appointed to succeed Fisher as treasurer.

We are proud to finally unveil the new bcmenswaterpolo.com! In development since November, we have put countless hours into improving the website originally designed by Dan Kelly '16 almost three years ago. We have not simply changed the looks, we have added additional content and simplified navigation.
One of the main updates we would like to highlight is the new history page, found under the "About Us" tab, which puts together decades of articles and memories into a page describing the club's journey over the years. In addition, the new blog feature will allow us to update our fans, friends, and alumni in a more detailed manner than we can on social media. This will compliment the monthly newsletter while allowing for a quicker production time than 30 days.
Other features we have included are a game roster, with numbers, years, and positions for spectators to be able to use during games, as well as a recruits page for prospective water polo players.
Please take a look around and let us know what you think. Feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any thoughts or suggestions, or post in the comments below.
