Eagle's Place 13th at Nationals

In their 2nd consecutive trip to the National Collegiate Club Championship, the Eagles finished 13th! The tournament, hosted by Florida State University, allowed Boston College to play three games against fellow conference champions from across the country. All games were played outdoors at the beautiful Morcom Aquatic Center and provided the team with tremendous competition to conclude the season. Pictures can be found here, within the gallery.

A tough draw led the Eagles to play a strong Ohio State team in the first round and Lindenwood University, the three time reigning champions, in the second. The team lost 8-7 and 16-12 to Ohio State and Lindenwood, respectively. Despite the losses, Boston College competed extremely well and proved their ability to play with the top teams in the country. A 12-11 win against Alabama in their final game allowed every BC athlete to get playing time. The squad took a commanding 5-0 lead in the first quarter and never trailed in the game. With the win, the seniors completed their competitive water polo careers on a high note.

On behalf of the entire team, we would like to say thank you to all parents, alumni, and fans for supporting us on our journey this season! Your encouragement has been instrumental to our success and makes it possible for us to represent our school and program at the national level.

After taking down Middlebury College, Dartmouth College, and Boston University the Eagles won the New England Division Championship for the second consecutive year. Led by Trevor Prince, the defense allowed a mere six goals in the final eight quarters of action. Thank you to all the fans, friends and family that came out to support the team! It was a great turnout.

The Eagles are now moving on to Nationals at Florida State University. The schedule can be found here and will updated on the website shortly. Hopefully the team will see some more familiar faces as they compete in Tallahassee! Games start Friday, November 10th and conclude on Sunday, November 12th.
